Dear Families,

Thank you for your patience as we continue to work diligently to reopen the building safely.

Today students were notified about their homeroom and specific cohort information via Google Classroom.  In order to view their homeroom and cohort, students will need to login to Google Classroom using their NYC Student Account.  For returning 7th and 8th grade families, this is not the same account that you used last year for Google Classroom.

If you have not been able to activate this account, instructions are provided  here.  Students will need to know their OSIS number in order to activate this account.  If you have technical questions about this account, please reach out to the following Wagner staff:

Grade 6:  Kelli Buck

Grade 7:  Dan Waldeck

Grade 8:  Charles Kim

Each student was added to a Google Classroom that indicates their homeroom class number.  Posted in this classroom is a table that indicates their cohort.  Cohorts A, B, and C reflect students in the blended model and cohort D reflects students who have selected the fully remote option.  It is possible in one homeroom class to include students in any/all of these cohorts.

Wagner has selected model Model 3B where students participating in Blended Learning and are divided into 3 cohorts (A, B, C).  Students who are fully remote are in Cohort D.

The cohort listed in the calendar below indicates the cohort of students receiving in-person instruction on a given day.  All other cohorts will engage in remote learning.

Note: The NYCDOE has not yet published the calendar for SY 2020-2021.The following is based on a tentative school reopening date of September 10 and anticipated school holidays for the month of September.  This is subject to change pending DOE guidance.

Students should only report to the building on their assigned cohort day.  In the event that a student reports to the building on a day in which they are NOT assigned, families will be notified and students will need to be picked up.  If you wish to give students permission to go home on their own, a permission slip is required and will be sent home soon.

It will be important that you and your students know their homeroom class number, their cohort letter, and what day the first in-person meeting will be for their cohort.  Homeroom room numbers will be coming soon.

We are working hard to safely welcome students and families, both in person and remotely.  Please stay tuned for more information and details as we receive continued guidance.
