1. DOE Return to School Survey/2020 NYC School Survey Deadline Extension
2020 NYC School Survey Deadline Extension

Given the current circumstances, and the focus on remote learning for school communities, we are providing everyone the opportunity to complete the NYC School Survey through June 26, the last day of the school year, in order to ensure as much opportunity as possible for respondents to have their voices heard. Because of the difficult circumstances this year, we encourage schools to administer the survey online, making it as easy as possible for schools to learn from their parents, students, support staff and teachers.

Please keep in mind that the code lookup tool is available for parent/guardians, students, support staff and teachers to retrieve their survey access codes. To use the code lookup tool, go to the online survey login page (accessed by clicking on the corresponding survey under “Take the survey NOW” section above). In addition, parent/ guardians, support staff and teachers can also call the survey hotline at 1-877-819-2363 to retrieve their access codes.

4. Take the Return to School 2020 Survey!
Dear Families,
We are working on plans for re-opening school buildings in the 2020-21 school year, and exploring various options based on available guidance from public health experts.
Since we cannot yet predict what September will look like, we need to be prepared for a range of possibilities. We know we can’t do this without your input! We’ve created a short, anonymous survey to help us understand what is most important to you for when we return to school in the fall. If you know someone who cannot take the survey online, they can call 311.
Take the Return to School 2020 Survey
All parents/guardians of students in grades 3-K through 12, and students in grades 6-12 are invited to take the survey at  schools.nyc.gov/returntoschool2020. The survey is available in Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, English, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu.
Estimadas familias:

Summer 2020
Remote Tutoring

Standout Learning Families,

First and foremost, we hope this email finds you well and safe. We’re aware many of our families, friends, and teachers have been directly impacted by COVID-19. We offer our deepest condolences, and support through this challenging time.

This summer is quickly approaching with some unforeseen changes. On a positive note, Standout Learning will be offering remote tutoring and classes at reduced rates to support students and families. Due to circumstance, it will be conducted remotely this summer.

Students and tutors will meet in an online classroom with audio and video capabilities supported by Macs and PCs. Classes will meet twice a week for 8 weeks. Each session will be 60 minutes, and taught by a certified teacher. Classes will begin July 6, 2020 and continue through August 28, 2020.

From math to reading to writing, online tutoring is a progressive way for students to receive instruction. Our tutors use a variety of teaching methods to engage students using a shared screen. This enables our tutors the ability to identify areas of need for students as they solve problems in real time.

We hope you consider joining us this summer for tutoring or a class. If you wish for learn more about our summer programs and rates, please click below. We hope that you continue to remain safe, and vigilant at this time.
