Dear Eighth Grade Families,
I sincerely hope that your family are doing well during this challenging time.
By now, most of you have received a letter in the mail from the Department of Education indicating your child's high school match.  If you received one match no further action is necessary as  it is automatically accepted in MySchools  If you received two matches you must  make a decision and then record your  decision in MySchools by  clicking  "View Waitlists."  This will take you to a screen where you will be prompted to accept one choice and decline the other choice.  Please be sure to decline the school you will not attend to free up seats for other students.   I am happy to submit the choice on your behalf by you scanning and sending me your letter.
If your child received a match to a school that you are happy with, please remove yourself from the waitlists of other schools.  Please ONLY do this if you are truly happy with the match.  Waitlists remain open through July 24th and there is no downside for your child to wait and see what happens.  However, if you know that your child will be attending their current match, it would be helpful to free up seats at other schools.  For example, if you know your child will attend a specialized school, please decline the other match AND remove your child from waitlists.  If you have any questions, please me.  I do not want anyone removing themselves from waitlists by mistake.
