Dear Wagner Families,

I hope you are all doing well.  Over the past two days, Wagner’s staff has been hard at work preparing for the launch of our remote learning plan. Our teachers have worked incredibly hard and are putting in so much thought and care to their planning. I am grateful for every one of our staff members and I want to extend my sincere appreciation to them all. I hope you will join me in doing so as well. I will be in touch regarding our plans as soon as it is finalized, which should be within the next day. I thank you again for your patience as we prepare for the weeks ahead.

Last night, Chancellor Carranza stated that schools will be providing school based technology for students in need.  Please know that at this time we do not have the capability to provide every student with a device. With this in mind, we will be prioritizing families that do not have any internet enabled devices in their home. Wagner students with no device at home can report to Wagner with a parent/guardian on Thursday, March 19th from 11:00am-2:00pm.  Please be advised that we will be working to implement social distancing guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff, students and families during pick up. Please form a line outside of our school and maintain a minimum of a 6 foot distance.  We appreciate your cooperation with this.

Over the coming weeks, the DOE will be providing devices to families in need as well.  If you are not able to come to Wagner to pick up a laptop, please complete this form: The DOE is lending internet-enabled iPads to support remote learning for students. The DOE will use the contact information you provide to get in touch with you to discuss when and where you can pick up a device. Priority will be given to students most in need, and all devices are granted on a temporary basis and will later need to be returned. There is a limit of one device per student.

We will be in touch regarding next steps for our online learning plan. Please tell your children that we miss them and are looking forward to connecting with them virtually.  If you need anything, please reach out - we are here to support our students and families in these challenging times.
