Teen Dating: Safety and Healthy Relationships
Early Rapp will be facilitating a family workshop on the topic of dating safety and healthy relationships.  We hope that families can join us for a conversation about this important topic.  The workshop will be taking place on Wednesday, January 15th at 6pm in the library.

How can you help?

1. Drop off home baked or store bought goodies on FRIDAY morning from 8:30-10:30
am at the donation table in the school lobby. Please make sure all items are
individually portioned or packaged/wrapped. Homestyle baked goods such as
cupcakes, cookies, and brownies are always the best sellers!
2. Make sure to send your child with money on Friday January 17. Most items are $1.
3. Review any food allergies, restrictions, or preferences with your child so they can
shop wisely.

ARISTA: This sale is an opportunity for 7th grade to earn Arista credit. Students who
bake something for the bake sale and attach an Arista form* in an envelope marked
with their name, class, and homeroom teacher will earn 1 hour of in school service.
Students must do the baking, store-bought items do not qualify.
(Students will not get credit for more than 2 sales per school year)
*Arista forms can be downloaded at www.wagner167.org under the “students” tab. Arista info, community service log. Please take a photo of your child’s log prior to sending it into school.

January is National Thank You Month
The Wagner guidance team would like to challenge all students and staff to write 5 thank you notes to 5 people you appreciate.

Art Contest for students, win $50!

 

Last call for art submissions!  The American Kennel Club is hosting an Art Contest for students in grades K and up.  Grand Prize Winners in each age group will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card.  All finalists’ artwork will be displayed at Meet the Breeds in New York City’s Jacob Javits Center on Jan. 25 and 26, 2020. 

 

Students create an 8.5”x11” original piece of art, on the theme “Activities with My Dog” and mail it in, along with an entry form, to AKC Public Education at 8051 Arco Corporate Drive, Raleigh, NC, 27617. For entry form and contest rules, visit  https://www.akc.org/public-education/2020-akc-meet-breeds-art-contest-nyc/.  Tickets to Meet the Breeds are available at  https://www.akc.org/sports/meet-the-breeds/.
