Did you know that the Ronald McDonald House provides low-cost housing as well as a comprehensive array of supports for the entire family (parents and siblings) of a child visiting New York City for cancer treatment (or other equaling debilitating disease).   The Ronald McDonald House provides tutoring, pet therapy, music therapy, counseling, a hair salon for exhausted parents, food, toiletries, healthcare advocacy, etc. This unique place, cares for each member of the family while they undergo this stressful battle. They know that each member of the family has a unique set of needs so they cater to the entire family, not just the child undergoing treatment.

Did you know that Wagner was the first school in 20 years of the Fun Run, to break the record of having over 200 students participate to support the Fun Run? This year celebrates their 21st year, perhaps we can rally our school community again!

If you would like to know more about the Fun Run and the amazing work they do at the Ronald McDonald House, please visit their website at:  https://www.rmh-newyork.org/who-we-are to read more about them.

If your child would like to know more about signing up to Run at the Fun Run (all your siblings ages 4-17, can run as well), or how to support the Wagner Team (if you don’t care to run), please see flyer below.

All runners can earn 5 hours of community service for participating in the Fun Run. The Ronald McDonald Fun Run Team will sign your community service forms at the Fun Run.

So, whether your child will run or not, they can participate in some way to support the Fun Run, have a laugh with friends, cheer runners on,  and know that they are running (or walking) to support an amazing organization.

See video below from 2 years ago. 100% of these pictures were sent to me by Wagner parents of the Wagner students and their younger siblings who participated as well.

Sign up for the Fun Run. See flyer with directions below.
